"Patent Applied For"- First Albizzia Electric Guitar |
This left-handed guitar was the
first Albizzia Guitar to be built and was used in the Patent 6011205
drawings. Built in 1997, this guitar was labeled "Patent Applied
For" until the Patent was granted in January 4, 2000. A true tone
machine, #0001 was used to test a wide array of vintage and
contemporary pickups. Please inquire. |

Curly
Koa top on a very lightweight albizzia body with creme top
binding. The body has a specially selected maple
spline. Matching 1 piece Koa neck, with Rosewood
finger board. Black lip pearl Petrogylth Inlay.
Features a matched set of 1952 Les Paul P-90 Pickups, with
original cream covers. Very lightweight body that weighs 3

"David Killingsworth" Signature Koa Bass Prototype 6.75 pound BASS |
Designed
and built by David in 2001. The top is a highly figured curly
koa. The top has been hand carved and finished in
cream bindings. The body contours have been hand shaped.
The Neck is a one piece maple, with a Rosewood
fingerboard. The block inlays are formed out of Pua shell
inlay. The Pickups are Lindy Fralin. This is a very
loud bass unamplified and weighs in at 6.75 pounds. $3250. |

Albizzia body topped off with a
"Ghost" figured grain top. The hand carved top is finished with a
dropped cream binding. The neck is a one piece mahogany with
a Rosewood fingerboard and Black lip pearl oval inlay
markers. The guitar features all black hardware, including Grover
tuners with ebony buttons. The 2 Humbucking pickups are the
original
Gibson "Patent sticker" models from the 60's, combined with a special
circuitry. This extreme Albizzia blond guitar weighs in 6 lbs.

This guitar features straight
maple grain top for that vintage "goldtop" tone. The top was hand
carved
with a drop cream binding. The top is finished as a 3 color
sunburst,
the special grain features have been restained to
emphazise
the character of the top. The optional maple spline is
included. The neck is a one piece maple, with extreme maple flame
grain. The grain has been restained and finished as a 3 color
sunburst to emphasize the awsome maple flame. The knobs are ebony
and
the hardware features black chrome finishes, including the Grover
tuners with ebony
buttons. There are 2 Seymour Duncan Alnico P-90
pickups. The is fine example of a lightweight guitar with a maple
spline, weighing in at 6 lbs. 3 ounces and is priced at $2800. |

Straight Grain Maple Top Albizzia Body Very Lightweight example 1963 Gibson Firebird Pickups |
This is another guitar that
features the straight grain maple top used on early Gibson
electrics. Finished as a 3 color Sunburst, the restained top
reveals a curly, opposing grain pattern. The back of the
body is finished with an exotic redwood burl veneer. The neck is
maple, finished in the 3 color sunburst and features a birds eye
grain pattern. The Rosewood fingerboard is complete with
Black lip pearl oval inlay markers. The pickups are a matched
pair of Gibson mini-humbuckers from a 1963 Firebird.
This guitar is the lightest example of Albizzia guitars in collection,
weighing in at 5 1/2 lbs and priced at
$3250. |

Finest Koa Top Albizzia Body Petroglyth Pearl Inlay |
The finest example of Curly Koa
in a stunning three dimentional grain pattern, which has been hand
craved. The drop bindings are cream. The neck is matching
Curly Koa and narrow at the nut. The fingerboard is Rosewood
and the inlay pattern is the special Petrogylth characters
engraved onto mother of pearl. The tuning keys are premium
Grovers
with mother of Pearl buttons. Rosewood knobs and black
hardwood compliament the darker Koa grain. The pickups are 1960's
Gibson PAF, patent number "sticker models". Special wiring allows
for many tones. This guitar is a nice lightweight example of Koa and
Albizzia, weighing 6 lbs 6 ounces and priced at $4750. |

The Albizzia body of this guitar
is finished in a translucent Teal, with an optional maple spline.
The hardware and pickup covers are finished in black. The
neck is mahogany with a Rosewood fingerboard. The block
inlay is Pua shell and matches the Teal body. The headstock
is Black lacquer with a Pua shell "Pineapple". Pickups are
Seymour Duncan P-90s. This guitar weighs an astonishing 5 3/4 lbs with the maple spline and is priced at $2250. |
